Current community involvement:  setting up a neighbourhood community group based on transition towns model, member of executive committee of SAFE (Save Animals from Exploitation) and also local organizer of their annual street appeal.

Hobbies and interests:  gardening and sustainable local food production, animal welfare, theatre and contemporary dance, literature, education, choral singing

Issues of particular concern:  care of elderly, the quality of children's lives,  plight of animals in laboratories and factory farms, state of our rivers and streams, road safety and provision of cycleways, healthy food, affordable housing, human rights
